Dr. Brian Chittock is the Executive Director, Jessie’s Hope Society and is B.C.’s only nonprofit, grass roots organization that provides prevention education, training, and research in developing healthy self-esteem and body image while focusing on promoting one’s inner strength and beauty and building resiliency in our children and youth.

He has worked in healthcare and social services in the areas of program development and delivery and also in fundraising for over 16 years and is a Certified Fund Raising Professional, a designation he has held since 1995. He has extensive experience leading and working with a wide variety of professional staff including physicians, nurses, administrators, educators, counsellors, etc. He has many years of experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of wellness programs in the areas of AIDS/HIV, hospice care, and in residential, social and employment programs fro people with disabilities. He is a trained counsellor and a Family Therapist. He recently completed training in Health Realization through the Santa Clara County Department of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Health Realization Division in San Jose, CA, USA.

He graduated in November 2002 from the Asia Pacific International University (USA) in San Francisco, CA, USA with the degree of Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in International Management. He also holds a degree of Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Management from the Asia Pacific International Institute, Graduate School of Management (New Zealand) in Vancouver, BC Canada;

He is an Award Winning Author, an active participant and volunteer in a variety of organizations and is currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of BC Disability Sports and also on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Asian Society for the Intervention of AIDS (ASIA). He is also a certified skydiver.

He joined Jessie’s Hope Society in July 2006 having returned from living and studying Mandarin in Taiwan.

 


 

Heather Quick Rajala, Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator

 Heather Quick Rajala is currently the Program Coordinator and Executive Assistant for Jessie’s Hope Society. She has assisted in the design and development of Jessie's Hope Society's Provincial Prevention Initiatives - Celebrating EveryBODY! and is currently coordinating our Children's Provincial Universal Prevention Program: Celebrating EveryBODY!: Building Resiliency in Youth to schools, teachers, children, parents and professionals in communities around British Columbia.

She brings a wealth of administrative and planning experience from her over 25 year career in the Hospitality/Tourism Industry, as an owner/operator of a licensed family daycare, home-based printing business and more recently in the Charitable Sector.

She has been trained in the foundation and fundamentals of coaching with The Coaches Training Institute and as a Virtual Assistant through the Virtual Assistant Training Program. She has extensive expertise in logistical planning; event planning and site selection; administration; information and systems development; time management; customer service; printing; personnel and bookkeeping and accounting procedures.

She recently completed training in Health Realization through the Santa Clara County Department of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Health Realization Division in San Jose, CA, USA.

She joined Jessie's Hope Society in December 2004.


 

 

 

Quinn Cashion-Vosburgh, Lead Trainer and Program Developer

 Quinn Cashion-Vosburgh is the Lead Trainer and Program Developer for Jessie’s Hope Society. She has designed and delivered Jessie's Hope Society's Children's Provincial Prevention Program, Celebrating EveryBODY!: Building Resiliency in Youth to parents, teachers, children and professionals in communities around British Columbia.

She has over 15 years experience as a trainer and consultant in the area of personal and professional development. She has made numerous presentations to a variety of groups including teachers, parents, children, youth, community workers, inmates and corporations. Her principle-based programs have provided participants with a gentle way of understanding the inside-out approach to building resilience and well being.

She has also provided training to a variety of groups on wellness topics; conducted life skills, career and employment planning classes for adults and youth; created workshops on topics such as Bringing out the Best in Ourselves and our Children, Stress Relief, GirlSpirit pre-teen and teen programs; created and taught academic curriculums for Career Planning and Aesthetics; and, facilitated support groups for women dealing with eating disorders.

She is a certified counsellor and is trained in Health Realization at the Northeast Health Realization Institute in Montpelier, VT., and through the Santa Clara County Department of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Health Realization Division in San Jose, CA, USA. She is undertaking an advanced training program through the Center for Sustainable Change in Saratoga, CA as well as completing her Provincial Instructor’s Diploma.

She joined Jessie's Hope Society in 2005 originally as a Board Member and in January 2007 as our Lead Trainer and Program Developer.
